Less than a month left to the most exciting cycling event of the winter season, La Winter DH, to be held at the Tonale Pass, on Saturday, February 15th.
This year will count eight editions of the most remarkable Italian bike race on snow, organized by Grandi Eventi Val di Sole, confirmed to be an expected appointment for the winter cycling lovers, ready to test themselves on the most challenging terrains.
This year, even the veterans of the competition must take into account the crucial novelties: the new slope "Alpe Alta" will guarantee a fast and technical course, offering a new challenge even to the most experienced riders.
The race starts at 2,179 meters above sea level, while the finish line will be at the bottom of the slope (1,880 mt.) for 300 metres of elevation loss distributed along 1,8 Km.
The athletes will get straight into a steep section, followed by the typical gates of the ski giant slalom, implemented with bumps and turns characterizing the track.
Another novelty is the Eliminator formula, compared to the previous editions. The athletes are divided into several heats; the winners of each heat will progress to the next round. The challenge "everyone against everyone", the balance skills, and the technical section will make the difference, both in the MTB and eMTB categories, where amateur cyclists could launch the challenge to pro' riders and guest stars, who are going to be reveled during the following weeks.
Indeed, e-MTB will also be under the spotlights in Val di Sole after the success of 2019's edition.
La Winter DH's registrations are open on the Val di Sole BikeLand website.
