The long Friday, August 28th, at Daolasa di Commezzadura closed with its traditional evening fixture, the 4X ProTour, the world’s leading four-cross series and a side event alongside the programme of the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Val di Sole-Trentino. The night also featured a guest of honour: Italian skiing legend Alberto Tomba.
Once again it was Tomáš Slavík who came out on top on the Trentino track. The Czech rider, who was crowned UCI Four-cross World Champion at Daolasa di Commezzadura in 2021, the last time the title was contested, confirmed his feeling for Val di Sole.
Behind the Czech champion, Italy’s Davide Cappello took a solid second place, with American Neko Mulally completing the podium. It was a less fortunate night for the other Italian to reach the men’s Big Final, Julian Stimpfl, who crashed heavily in the rock garden – without serious consequences.
In the women’s race the win went to Britain’s Josie McFall, ahead of Australia’s Zuri Acheson and Britain’s Jessica Dove.
On Saturday, August 29th, the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships Val di Sole-Trentino continue with the Downhill races. The Junior Women start at 08:45, followed by the Junior Men at 09:30. The Elite Women go at 13:10, and the Elite Men close the programme at 15:00 (all times CEST).
