A small clearing surrounded by spruce and larch trees a couple of km from the town of Peio Fonti: Malga Frattasecca is right there.

A hut built in 1854 that was also used as a shelter by the Austrian research mountaineer Payer to conquer the highest peaks of Trentino Alto Adige. The hut was renovated in 2015 with larch coatings of at least 150 years that make the environment intimate and rustic. The kitchen serves authentic dishes from Trentino's regional cuisine. The products used come from farmers in Val di Peio or Val di Sole. The dishes are genuine and presented with great attention to detail. Potato pies, canederli, strangolapreti and deer cuts deserve special mention.
