The Brit rider smashed the competition in Trentino conquering the Elite Cross Country rainbow jersey. Anne Terpstra achieves silver ahead of Sina Frei
Evie Richards took the gold medal in the Elite Cross Country World Championships in Val di Sole. After conquering the silver in the Short track, today the British rider preceded on the finishing line Dutch Anne Terpstra and Swiss Sina Frei.
Richards smashed the competition in lap 2 after the fast start of Pauline Ferrand-Prèvot. The Brit reached and outdistanced Prèvot in lap 3: the difficulties of the defending champion brought Terpstra, Frei, Neff and Wloszczowska in the fight for the silver medal.
Terpstra consolidated second place in the second part of the race, whilst Frei and Neff battled for the bronze until the final straight. The Short Track winner won the sprint claiming third place.
