The Chilean conquered the rainbow in the Men’s U23 race at the UCI Mountain World Championships in Val di Sole, preceding Italian Juri Zanotti and Swiss Joel Roth
Martin Vidaurre gave Chile a historical medal at the 2021 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, on Friday, August 28th conquering the Men’s U23 race. With an impressive performance, Vidaurre preceded on the finish line Italian Juri Zanotti and the Swiss European Champion Joel Roth.
Vidaurre launched the decisive attack in lap 2, gaining a big gap on his opponents. Zanotti consolidated the second place, whilst Roth preceded in the battle for the bronze his compatriot Luca Schatti.
Two more Italian riders entered the race’s top 10: Filippo Fontana sixth and Simone Avondetto seventh.
