Things are going to get serious on Thursday, 24 August when the qualification rounds for 4X World Championships kick off at 8.30 pm with individual timed runs of one lap of the course.The finals will be held Friday 25 evening beginning at 8.45 pm.
The downhill races scheduled for Saturday, 26 August will be crucial for assigning the titles. Indeed, in both mens' and womens' fate is still undecided as the long race season comes to a dramatic conclusion on the challenging Commezzadura track in Val di Sole.
The competitions of the XCO World Cup Finals scheduled for Sunday, 27 August are merely formality since the mens' and womens' titles have already been assigned, but this will not make the races any less exciting on the modified Commezzadura track. Many of our colour-bearers are in a position to leave a mark, especially in the youth categories.
