Since 1993 Downhill was part of the UCI calendar and the World Championships take place every year between August and September. Downhill (also referred to as DHI) is a race against the clock in which the rider negotiates a succession of fast and technical passages. The participant must demonstrate courage as well as sharp technical and piloting skills in order to affront tree roots, banked sections, bumps, jumps and other natural obstacles along the way. Speeds reach around 80km/h. A downhill bike is a full suspension bicycle, will also have very slack head tube angles long wheelbases.
The Val di Sole track Black Snake is regarded as the most technical of the world. It has been renewed for the 2015 with new lines. The top of the track will be 300 mt. longer with a fast flow section and a road gap. It's a technical track with some new school sections. Before the Pippo Jump section will be the same, with stones and roots! The show is guaranteed !

About half way along the course, you will find a kiosk with music where you can quench your thirst.
What to dress and what to bring:
We recommend that you wear boots or hiking boots, and to take a hat with you just in case it's very sunny. Wearing layers of comfortable clothing is appropriate in nearly all weather conditions. If you want an autograph from your favorite athletes, take everything you need with you and don't forget your camera.
