The Squirrel Refuge is located 2,000 metres above sea level on the ski slopes of the Skiarea Pejo3000 in the heart of the Stelvio National Park.
The Rifugio is a typical mountain-style building with wood finishes and decorations that provide an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. The place where it is located is called Stavelin and from here you can admire the Ortles-Cevedale group, the Presanella and, in the distance, the Brenta group. The privileged position, in winter, makes the Squirrel the meeting point for ski lovers, while in summer it is the starting point for walks or mountaineering excursions on the peaks that surround it. In the summer season, but also on the hottest winter days, you can take advantage of the large outdoor wooden terrace for lunch while enjoying a wonderful view of the entire Val di Peio. The dishes that can be enjoyed at the Rifugio Scoiattolo are those of the Trentino tradition that are cooked and prepared using 0 km products.
